The Samsung Galaxy S6 is still some months away from its release but that does not mean that the fans are not talking about it. Rumors have it that the Galaxy S6 will have a metal body to echo the recently unveiled Galaxy Alpha.

With the Galaxy S5 having acted strong and an update of the S4, it is expected that the S6 will be an improvement in terms of a higher resolution, QHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810 chipset and even, according to some, a flexible body. The Galaxy S5 has recorded a fall in sales which is not what the Korean manufacturer had expected. It appears like the company is set to put its full force behind the S6. It might bestow it with high-end software and hardware features. While the reports might be wrong, it is possible that the Galaxy S6 might be released in early 2015, as a direct rival of the iPhone 6 coming soon.

Having in mind that the LG G3 has been recently unveiled with a 2560 * 1440 pixel QHD display, the feature is also expected to land on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 later in the year. This is an indication that the Galaxy S6 might also shift to the QHD panel. As expected, Samsung has not given any official details about the upcoming S6 and the release date. This means that all the other dates remain to be a pure speculation.

As for the specs, the Galaxy S6 will have a number of features from the Galaxy S5. Given the focus that Samsung has on S5's water resistant coating, fingerprint scanner incorporating home button and rear-mounted heart rate sensor, you can bet that these features will also make an appearance in the upcoming Samsung flagship. In terms of power, it is speculated that the S6 will feature a Snapdragon 808 or snapdragon 810 which were recently unveiled by Qualcomm.  Currently, there is no information about the phone's camera but it is expected that the S6 will have an improved from the previous flagship, the S5 which had a 16MP snapper.
