The year 2014 has seen a number of films that have done spectacularly well like Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxy. However, not all movies have done too well and have gone to DVD faster than I am sure the directors would have wanted them to. The Prince is one such movie. Grindstone Entertainment Group, Aperture Entertainment, Emmet/Furia Films and Oasis Films entrusted the very capable Brian Miller with the 10 million dollar project.
This award winning Japanese animated movie was released in Japan on July 20th of 2013 and then got its North American release on May 9th of 2013. The movie was wildly successful both in Japan and North America and carried home The Alliance of Women Film Journalists award for Best Animated Feature, The Annie Awards for Writing in an animated feature and tied with Frozen for Best Animated Film at the Boston Online Film Critics association among a host of other awards.
2014 has seen a whole number of movie and with the success of movies like Captain America, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Lego Movie a lot of other titles are getting lost in the melee. The Hundred Foot Journey is one such movie. Well written and with the backing of Touchstone, Harpo, Reliance and Image Nation the movie should honestly have been one of the greatest movies of the year.
You would be forgiven for thinking that this is just one movie from the title. It is in fact three movies that are collectively called The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. The movies are actually titled Him, Her and Them. The movies written and directed by Ned Benson premiered in the Uncertain Regard at the 2014 Cannes Film festival.
The movie reclaim was released on Video on Demand and was directed by Alan White. Alan has worked on a number of films including 2000’s Risk and the 1999 movie Erksville kings. Reclaim is produced by Asia Tropical Films, Beijing Shuijing Shenlan International Media Co. and Garlin Pictures and distributed by Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The script was written by Luke Davies and Carmine Gaeta.
There have been a host of really good movies about magic from The Prestige to Now You See Me, the romance and intrigue of magic has come to the silver screen time and time again. Magic in the Moonlight is barely a love story that involves magic. The movie is written and directed by the great Woody Allen and Produced by Perdido Productions.
2014 has been an exceptional year for Disney with Captain America amassing a whopping 714 million dollars at the box office. The movie giant has been doing a whole lot of reboots in the recent years with movies like Tangled and Frozen. With Maleficent they retold the Sleeping Beauty story from the villain’s point of view.
The movie Life of Crime is based in the book The Switch by Elmore Leonard. Leonard is known for books like three ten to Yuma and Fire in the Hole both of which got treatments. Fire in the Hole translated to the Emmy Award winning series Justified. The movie has done its rounds on the festival circuit showing on closing night at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival and opening at the Abu Dhabi Fil Festival the same year.
According to PlayStation France there are two bundles which are going to be launched next month. One of the bundles includes the regular black PS4 and the other features the new Glacier White PlayStation. As such, PlayStation France mentioned that we should expect them to arrive on November 18th. Speaking of the 5th installment of GTA for the PS4, it was recently revealed the game will weigh no less than 50GB on the Sony console.
Since the time the Thor franchise started, Tom Hiddleston captured the hearts of movie goers as their favorite villain, Loki. However, during an interview with TV Line, Kaity Cassidy laughed the scene off and asked them how they were sure this was the final goodbye for Sara.
According to recent reports of the game and atmosphere, Bloodborne is only going to be released for PlayStation platforms next year. the decision is due to the theory that to create a realistic atmosphere of the era keep the high quality graphics, only the PS4 would be suitable. The developers thus concluded the PS4 would be most suitable, which is an obvious slight to PC and X Box One both of which are also going to house several next generation games.
