'The Walking Dead' Season 5: Carol Wins Netizens' Nod!
If there was someone who has developed into a more exciting, anticipated, and watched for character in "The Walking Dead", that has to be Carol. Over the years and over the many episodes of the hit television series, Carol has captured hearts when Sophie died, sympathized with her when the odds are tough in the series, and now, she has wowed the massive audience.
Twitter exploded with praises for the Carol in one of the pilot episodes of "The Walking Dead'"s fifth season. Words like "Can I worship Carol right now?", "Carol is the bomb", "Carol rocks!" and many more filled the Twitter news feed last October 13. Carol gained instant superstar recognition after her impressive moves and tactics in the Monday episode. The Hollywood life even said that "it was all things Carol that broke the internet last night."
So, what exactly did Carol do to deserve such a positive outburst on Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites?
The Dailymail has a headline that says "The Walking Dead's silver-haired dame helps Rick's gang escape Terminus in the season 5 premiere". "The Walking Dead's Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) courageously helped Rick Grimes' gang escape Terminus in the thrilling season five premiere on Sunday" the article says. The group of Rick has been caught by the Terminus, a cannibalistic group of people. The Terminus was interrogating the group and was preparing Rick and the others to be killed when Carol came to save the day.
Carol found herself some cloth and coated herself with zombie blood. She then infiltrated the Terminus' camp by pretending to be a zombie herself. Using her simple rifle, she made the Terminus' propane tank to explode, causing the death of many walkers around. Carol then proceeded to go inside the Terminus' base and killed some of their members.
The culmination of Carol's moment in the episode is her reunion with Daryl, the closest friend of hers in the group. The reunion was really and emotional one and netizens once again made #Caryl trending on Twitter.
Surely, with Carol's impressive transformation, there is a lot to look forward to in "The Walking Dead" Season 5.
