Has Ben Affleck's 'Gone Girl' Co-Star Neil Patrick Harris Ever Slept With Woman? 'Choose Your Own Biography' Reveals
Among the revelations "Gone Star" actor Neil Patrick Harris made in his newly released autobiography is the fact that he has lost his virginity to a woman.
In his memoir titled "Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography," the openly gay Broadway and Hollywood star confessed he lost his virginity to a woman, a "Doogie Howser" fan, during a house party in New Mexico.
As the title implies, Harris' autobiography was presented in a throwback chapter book format, which allows readers to navigate through the parts of the book that most interest them.
Other stories he shared in his memoir was the first man he has ever slept with was one of his co-stars when he was playing a lead role on the Broadway play "Rent," and his husband David Burka was in a relationship with someone else when they first met on a New York street.
"I'm not trying to force my life down anyone's throat. But if you want to read about things being forced down throats, you can go to that page," Harris told The Daily Beast.
While he has been told several times to write his autobiography, Harris felt he did not know how he would write it because his life has been "so random and diverse and playing into different demographics."
Opposite Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, Harris stars as a straight guy in David Fincher's "Gone Girl."
In "How I Met Your Mother," Harris also played the straight guy Barney Stinson who would flirt with several women, including a guest role played by his and his husband's pal, Katy Perry.
Included in the memoir is Harris' funny mock interview with one of the men's magazines he had done after his reappearance in Hollywood with the film "Harold and Kumar" opposite John Cho and Kal Penn and the TV series "How I Met Your Mother" with Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Colbie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan.
Harris also wrote about how he and Elton John became so close when they were both expecting children by surrogacy that he would spend time at the musician's house in Nice, France, The Wall Street Journal has learned.
Meanwhile, Harris is set to join "American Horror Story: Freak Show" as confirmed by the hit horror series creator Ryan Murphy, Broadway World has learned.
