Rise of the Tomb Raider News and Updates: PS4 Release for Lara Croft and Temple of Osiris Titles Announced for December
Last we heard about "Rise of the Tomb Raider" it was going to be released for both X Box One and X Box 360 platforms exclusively. The game's developer Crystal Dynamics, the forthcoming game is going to be available as of the fourth quarter of 2015 which supports the rumors that it is going to be unveiled during the holidays, just not the this year. The game is a follow up to the Lara Croft saga reboot. The second installment is supposed to take things from the prequel and draw the details from the 'Tomb Raider' comic book series.
The video game franchise that focuses on archeologist and heroine Lara Croft has been around for at least 8 years. The game was originally released in 2006 and got a lot of awards including the Guinness World Records as 'Most Successful Human Virtual Game. "
During this year's E3 press conference, the creators of the game revealed one new trailer for 'Tomb Raider' and it reveals Lara Croft talking to a psychiatrist about the previous adventures and dangers she came across going into the weapons she used and her actions.
During the E3 event, we learnt the game would be released next year and the fact that it is going to be available for X Box One as concerns next generation consoles. The PS4 release has been kept under wraps leading to the speculation that the game would not be available for other consoles. According to Darrell Gallagher, who is the Head of Studios for Crystal Dynamics, "This doesn't mean that we're walking away from our fans that only play on PlayStation or on PC. Those are great systems, with great partners, and amazing communities." He also mentioned that they have Lara Croft and the temple of Osiris coming to the omitted platforms this December and Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition available for PS4, but still not definitive news about "Rise of the Tomb Raider" for PS4 so far.
