Beyond the Lights depicts the story of Noni, a growing superstar in the music industry; she is struggling in the industry as of her money and fame. At last she feels tranquility in the presence of Kaz Nicol. She wants his presence and ignoring her fame and profession. He is a cop and ambitious to become a politician. They fell in love with each other; forgetting their duties, responsibilities and even their career. People around them warned about their relationship and instructed about the necessity to build up their career.  Friends and relatives of them inspired the lovers to concentrate on their duties, nevertheless who care the advice of people. The young lovers continued their love more deeply and madly.

Noni was at the peak of her career accomplishment, but the new relation seems to be diminishing the graph of her growth. Kaz finds this is the apt time to interact in the professional life of his beautiful love and he is the only person can do that. He influenced her to go back to the musical industry and find a shelter for her own. He becomes the courage and strength of his dream girl. The movie was written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and the movie is set for a world wide release on Nov 14, 2014, Rottentomatoes reports. The casts are Gug u Mbatha-Raw, Nate Parker, Minnie Driver, Minnie Driver, Danny Glover, Richard Colson Baker, Colson "MGK" Baker etc.

Beyond the Lights has been premiered on September 7, 2014, at the Toronto International Film Festival and the theater release will be on November 14, 2014 in the United States. Gug u Mbatha-Raw will be playing as Noni Jean, Minnie Driver as Macy Jean, Nate Parker as Kaz Nicol, Danny Glover as Captain David Nicol, Machine Gun Kelly as Kid Culprit, Jordan Belfi as Steve Sams, Hayley Marie Norman as Shai, Tom Wright as Reverend Brown and Jesse Woodrow as Carl.
