The Croods 2 Movie Release Date Reveals Reviews and Updates: Rumors of a TV Series Set to Air on Netflix
Nominated for no less than 31 awards and going on to win 5 of them The Croods was a good investment. The movie grossed almost 600 million dollars DreamWorks and 20th Century Fox are very aware that this could be the goose that lays the silver eggs and it would be a bad idea to send it out to pasture right now. The movie has been given a December 22nd 2017 release date and is the first movie to make a booking for the Christmas period.
The Croods was about the end of the Caveman and following the sun into tomorrow. The Patriarch of the family is scared that all will go wrong and wants the family to stay put and stay safe but he is pushed to accept that they have to move away from the place they have called home for a long time to seek out new territories. To ensure the safety of his family he has to cross over into the unknown and is almost left behind. The next installment will focus more on building society, on motherhood and on making their new home successful. This will no doubt focus on the oldest girl in the family, Eep and her friend Guy who developed a relationship in the first installment. Another question we will want answered is if other families were able to escape the destruction or are the Croods alone in this great tomorrow that they were seeking.
Apart from the sequel coming in 2017 sites like CNN Money have detailed deals resulting in a TV series set to air on Netflix but nothing is showing up on scheduling yet. Nicholas Cage is coming back to voice Grugg alongside Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds. DreamWorks are keeping Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders as co-directors for the project, considering the great work they did on the first installment we are likely not to be disappointed.
