"Ted" 2 Rumors, Cast, Release Date: MacFarlane Still Voicing Ted The Bear Together With Mark Walhberg
Guess whose back? The inseparable duo of John Bennett and his beer- drinking best friend inside the cuddly image of a teddy bear, Ted, is back on its 2nd film after the hit comedy movie sequel "Ted." It was announced last Tuesday that the filming of the 2nd part is on its way to pre-production, keeping Mark Wahlberg as the main actor (still playing as John Bennett) and the creator of "Family Guy" Seth MacFarlane, still voicing as Ted the furry bear.
It is quite sure that the fans are excited to hear about the 2nd part knowing that John Bennett married his long time partner Lori Collins (played by Mila Kunis) at the end of the first movie. However, according to Deadline there will be a new star that has been cast to play one of the major character. The Les Miserable actress, Amanda Seyfriend is said to be joining the movie, as the unidentified lead female opposite of Mark in the sequel. Even though there was a happy ending between John and Lori, rumors has it the Mila Kunis will only be playing a small part in the 2nd film, not official if it is a tiny role or just a cameo appearance.
Directed as well by MacFarlane, Deadline reported that "I'm told this has nothing to do with anything other than a creative decision that MacFarlane decided to take with the plotting of the sequel," to answer the rumors about not having much understanding between the directors and actors of the movie, and made it clear that Kunis will continue to play "Meg" in the hit series Family Guy.
On the other hand, actress Jessica Barth will still be Tami- Lynn, Ted's supermarket girl friend.
The sequel was released last June 2010, Ted grossed more than $218 million at the domestic box office and had a total of $549.3 million at the worldwide box office. After receiving positive reviews commending the directing skills of MacFarlane and praising Wahlberg after portraying John, "Ted" reached the 68% overall positive review according from rotten tomatoes.
The movie is set to be premiered on June 26, 2015.
