Watch Dogs 2 Release Date: What We Know so Far
With the announcement that Ubisoft is releasing the sequel to the highly successful game "Watch Dogs," fans and gamers alike have been very excited. Reports and rumors have circulated with regards to the new storylines, improvements to the gameplay as well as when the game will be released.
This is just normal considering that Ubisoft made an announcement before that they would take time with Watch Dogs 2. This is probably to address some of the concerns raised by fans about the first game. It could be remembered that complaints about the game included the lack of dynamic attributes such as weapons, activities, and gameplays. As a result, excitement about the coming game was all the more fueled.
Although most of these improvements are still unknown and most of the reports are still unconfirmed, here are what we know so far about Watch Dogs 2:
Aiden Pearce, the protagonists of the original game, will no longer be in the sequel. Instead, Raymond "T-Bone" Kenney will be the playable character. At the first game, T-Bone was merely a side character. In this game, Pearce would be laying low and T-Bone will be the one tying up some loose ends.
This may cause some discontentment from many gamers as a lot of people have already fallen in love with the original protagonist, Pearce. However, T-Bone would prove to be as lovable as his friend. He will showcase some awesome technology such as his remote-controlled car "Eugene."
Aside from a new main protagonist, the game would also include a new enemy in the person of Niall, son of the mob boss Lucky Quinn, the main antagonist in the previous game.
The game, as hinted by developers will feature high quality graphics, sophisticated new weapons, brand new missions and quests, and new places to discover. An example for this is that missions are repayable because procedurally-generated elements particularly in the placement of enemies. In other words, even if the objective of the mission as well as the place is the same, the gameplay would still be different.
Watch Dogs 2 will be released in 2016 PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
