Rock & Worship Roadshow 2014
The "Rock & Worship Roadshow" has announced the 2014 line-up! The tour, sponsored by Compassion International and Grand Canyon University, will kick off on January 9, 2014 in Sacramento, California and will run through February 16, where it ends in West Valley City, Utah.
With the release of the dates, the Roadshow also some shared some changes that will be new for the year. The largest change is that the band that founded it all, MercyMe, won't be on the tour.
In a press release, Bart Millard explained the reason for the break, saying, "The Roadshow still remains our vision and baby, but we thought it was time for us to take a year off and allow other great bands like Skillet and Third Day to join in the fun. We know fans will continue to support The Roadshow with these great artists." He went on to reassure fans, saying, "And, don’t worry, we’ll be back on the tour again."
With Skillet, Third Day, Andy Mineo, Jamie Grace, Royal Tailor, Soulfire Revolution, We As Human, The Neverclaim and Vertical Church Band all confirmed, "great artists" could be called an understatement!
The other change fans will see in 2014 is new ways to buy tickets. All seats will be reserved and tickets will be sold the traditional $10 at-the-door way, in advance for $10 at the venue box office during regular hours, or $20 online or by phone. There will be no additional services fees for the tickets, keeping it an affordable event for the whole family. Tickets will go on sale November 26 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
2014 will also see VIP passes and add-ons on the menu. VIP passes are $50 each and include:
- Preferred floor seating
- Special edition tour VIP ticket buyer t-shirt
- Special edition souvenir VIP tour laminate
- Coupon for $5 off purchase of $20 or more of Road Show merchandise.
