Agents of Shield Season 2 Release Date, News, Cast, and Updates: Synopsis For Episode 2 Revealed by Marvel
Agents of Shield Season 2 Release Date, News, Cast, and Updates: Synopsis For Episode 2 Revealed by Marvel
The second season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will kick off in a couple of weeks, and Marvel has been hyping the upcoming new season real hard to much success. Just after a day after revealing the synopsis of the season 2 premiere, Marvel has also revealed the synopsis for episode 2, which is titled " Heavy is the Head."
"Hunted and running out of solutions, Coulson puts his team right in the line of fire in the hopes of saving them all. But with General Talbot, Hydra and Creel all on the attack, can they possibly survive? Meanwhile, a mysterious Doctor (Kyle MacLachlan) harbors some dangerous secrets that could destroy one of our core team members."
The episode was written by Paul Zbyszewski and directed by Jesse Basco. The most notable thing about the synopsis of episode 2 is the mention of "a mysterious Doctor" who's played by Kyle MacLachlan. MacLachlan was reported back in August to have been cast as Skye's father, and it seems like it's Skye who's going to be destroyed by the secret that the Doctor will reveal to her. It's always been a mystery as where did Skye come from after it was revealed that she was an 0-8-4, or an object (in this case a person) of unknown origin. Many have speculated that she's a being from another planet, which can be supported by the fact that a Kree made an appearance on the show. This episode might finally shed some light on Skye's origins.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons and Nick Blood as Lance Hunter.
Guest stars include B.J. Britt, Adrian Pasdar, Brian Patrick Wade, and Ruth Negga.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres on September 23 at 9pm on ABC.
