Jane Got A Gun Movie Release Date, Reveals, News and Plot: Handsome Charlie Films, Scott Pictures and Boise Schiller Film Group to Produce Wild West Movie
A million ways to die in the West has whetted our collective appetites for a good old fashion Western. Who is better suited to give us this much needed Western than Relativity Media and The Weinstein Company? The movie powerhouses have entrusted the very capable Gavin O'Connor with this project. Mr. O' Connor is directing the 60 million dollar movie that is expected in cinemas on February 20th 2015.
The movie centers on Jane Hammond who with her husband, like every person in the West at the time, runs into trouble with the Bishop Boys gang. The two manage to build a new life in the West and then one day, just like the Kenny Roger's song, Bill comes home riddled with bullets after a duel with the gang's leader. Due to the obvious lack of proper medical services as illustrated in the Seth McFarlane film, Ol' Bill dies. Jane now has to fend for herself and add to this the fact that the gang is now hot on her trail, our heroine finds herself in quite the pickle. With the option of getting on a Greyhound and trying to carve a new existence in New York still far in the future and no DeLorean in sight, Jane turns to her former fiancé Dan Frost. Good guy Dan must now help Jane make her last stand and protect her family from the Bishop Boys gang.
If the number of producers was directly proportional to the success of a movie then this one is set to win quite a few Oscars. The movie has no less than eight producers including Natalie Portman and Scott Steindorff. The production houses included in this project are Handsome Charlie Films, Scott Pictures, Boise Schiller Film Group and Straight Up Films. Natalie Portman shall be taking up the role of Jane Hammond as Ewan McGregor takes the role of John Bishop. Noah Emmerich shall be acting Bill Hammond. Other actors on the cast are Rodrigo Santoro, Boyd Holbrook, Joel Edgerton and Sam Quin. The film was shot in Santa Fe.
