Justin Bieber Latest Charge and Arrest Update: His Strings of Trouble with the Law! Singer Faces Charges for Dangerous Driving and Assault
Famous pop singer and Canadian-born Justin Bieber has been arrested and is now facing multiple charges. Aside from his dangerous driving stint, he has also been charged with assault, as reported by multiple media outlets, including the Huffington Post and ETCanada.
In a Justin Bieber latest charge and arrest update, according to Kees Wijnands, the spokesman for the Ontario Provincial Police department, "Justin Bieber was arrested on Friday, August 29th shortly before 3:00 pm local time. Perth County Provincial Police responded to a call about an accident involving an ATV and a mini-van. Investigation revealed, the driver of ATV and an occupant of mini-van engaged in a physical altercation. Bieber was arrested and has been charged with two counts of criminal code offenses, dangerous driving and assault. He has since been released on a 'promise to appear' and agreed to attend court in Stratford, Ontario, Canada on September 29th."
The Ontario Provincial Police department's spokesman also said that booking photos are confidential.
In a separate news, it said that the singer's lawyer, Brian Greenspan, released this statement: "Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of the paparazzi."
Greenspan also added that, "This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault. Mr. Bieber and Ms. Gomez have fully cooperated in the police investigation. We are hopeful that this matter will be quickly resolved."
The singer did get released though. However, he would have to make court appearances for the charges that he is currently facing.
Strings of Trouble with the Law
This is not the first time that Justin Bieber was charged with assault, December of 2013 when he get into a fight with a limo driver and its passenger and to answer this incident, he would need to appear in court by September 22. He is also facing a two year probation - a result after throwing eggs to his neighbors back in January 2014. As per New York Daily News, "The singer pleaded no contest to the charges and was slapped with two years of probation and ordered to attend anger management classes and perform community service. He must also pay $80,900 in restitution to neighbors Jeff and Suzie Schwartz."
