Magic Mike 2 News, Release Date, Spoilers and Reveals: Release Date Moved up Two Days to the Beginning of July in Order to Take Advantage of Independence Day Holidays

The second installment of Magic Mike has been slated for July 1^st as the release date of the series was recently rescheduled for an earlier release date by two days. Apparently, the release date of the movie was moved up in order to allow for the film to post a slightly higher opening weekend total and this allows it to fully capitalize on the fourth of July holidays, taking into account all of the summer releases that are coming out during summer including, Marvel's Avengers 2 Ultron which is sure to get a lot of attention. The film which is highly anticipated is supposed to start production during the next few weeks and it is supposed to take about 5 weeks to complete. The shooting will most likely take place on private property according to the latest reports.

There are two major actors that have not been confirmed to reprise their roles in the second installment of Magic Mike and they are Alex Pettyfe, Magic Mike's protégé' and Matthew McConaughey who is the strip club owner. The original movie which premiered in 2012 had stars like Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Alex Pettyfer and Matt Bomer. It grossed about 113.7 million on the domestic box office. It is hoped that the second movie will do much better. The plot of the film is supposed to be about the context of a road trip to a stripper convention which means that McConaughey and the club setting may not be necessary for the film except in passing.

According to reports, Channing's protégé' fought with him during the filming of the original film. He could return for the second installment but he would need Channing's approval. According to a source, "Alex is dying to reprise his role, but Channing is on the fence," it might take a lot of sucking up on the part of Alex for him to get the part back for the second installment. We just have to wait and see.
