Aaron Williams Releases New Version of “Abide,” featuring Jon Reddick
Worship artist, songwriter, and the founder of The Way of Worship, Aaron Williams, presents a brand-new version of his CCLI US Top 100-charting song, "Abide." The new rendition features Gotee Records artist and worship leader, Jon Reddick, as well as choir vocals from Nashville's The Choir Room. This marks Williams' first release with Integrity Music and is the introductory single from his upcoming album, set to release in spring 2025. A radio single, "Abide" has been echoing with thousands of people since its initial release and is consistently finding its home in more and more churches with a current ranking at #75 on CCLI US Top 100. This inspired the idea for a new version infused with Jon Reddick's energetic addition and group vocals from The Choir Room, an initiative gathering led by Dwan Hill. With its expansive sound and fresh gospel flavor, "Abide" is set to be propelled into new spheres of the Church. "'Abide' is one of those songs that you just keep hearing in different places, and it moves your heart every time," said Jon Reddick. "I'm honored to be a part [of it], and I'm really excited for people to discover this version and worship with us!" The song, which unpacks the beauty of the words of Jesus found in John 15, voices an honest anthem of surrender at a time when society has broadly been looking down on dependence. In writing this song, Williams portrayed abiding with the Lord as a "long obedience in the same direction" rather than a religious routine. He hopes that this new version of "Abide" will keep encouraging listeners to cling to the Lord, believing that all who do will witness the unwavering faithfulness of God in every season.
