Natalie Grant Will Perform National Anthem at the National Championship Game
Nine-time GRAMMY® nominee Natalie Grant will be performing the national anthem for the college football National Championship game on January 10 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The football game will be held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The game will be aired live on ESPN on January 10.
"Hey, college football fans! I'm super honored and excited about this," Natalie posted. "I will be performing our anthem for the National Championship game, January 10 in Indianapolis. It will be nationally televised, so be sure and tune in!"
Grant turned 50 on Dec. 12. Grant has taken the time to reflect on her 50th birthday, aging, and her hope for the future.
Grant writes, "Well, here's looking at 50. That even feels strange to type. Culture tries to put expiration dates on us. At a certain age, society tries to convince you that your best days are behind you. Hallelujah we are not defined by culture. I'm overwhelmed at the goodness and faithfulness of God. I'm so grateful for all that He's allowed me to do and be a part of.
But I'm still marching toward my best days. This morning, the Lord gave me a definitive word - it was so clear it's as if he was sitting in the room with me. The word for my 50th year: FORMIDABLE. I felt him say I must do what it takes, on good days and bad, when it's easy and when it's hard, to equip myself for the task at hand. And he gave me my calling for my next decade: to be a force the enemies of God must seriously reckon with."
For those who have let their age and circumstanes restrict them for the plans God has for them, Grant encourages, "I don't know what season you find yourself in, but don't let your age, your circumstances and certainly not culture define you. God has the final say and He's always doing something new. Just keep on saying yes and live from a place of surrender and obedience. And may what was said of Peter and John in Acts 4:13 be said of us: we may be ordinary, but may our godly confidence and boldness make it obvious we've been with Jesus."
Grant has remained one of Christian music's top-selling artists since her 2005 breakout RIAA Gold-certified album, Awaken. Having been named Female Vocalist of the Year by the Gospel Music Association five times, Grant has propelled multiple singles and records to the #1 spot on the Billboard album charts. Along with her friend Charlotte Gambill, she launched "Dare to Be", a series of special one-night events for women.
