True blood Season 7 Spoilers: Vampires face the Hepatitis-V virus
True Blood has been on the screen for years now and with Season 7 being its final season its fans expected much from it. The main question is did it deliver?
The final season kicked off with one last expedition for Sookie Stackhouse and her hopelessly unlucky town of Bon Temps. The first episode being "Jesus Gonna Be Here" continues with the month time jump from last season's last moments with the Hepatitis-V virus still infecting vampires around the country. This continues to force the residents of Bon Temps to pair with the healthy vampires for protection and survival.
Now the cast remains mostly the same with Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten), Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), Bill (Stephen Moyer), Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) Andy (Chris Bauer), Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) among others.
The story continues with Pam continuing to search for Eric while Bill and Jessica attempt to make amends to Andy and his family. Sookie on the other hand reaches her breaking point after the shocking death of a close friend Tara.
True blood Season 7 Spoilers: Vampires face the Hepatitis-V virus
Well so far the season has been driven by character and story we still cannot find the purpose as to why things are the way they are though and we think that over the years the show has lost its zeal. It is still a drama filled show but its uniqueness has been lost along the way and characters are no longer as convincing and enjoyable as it was to watch when it start. The unique way it handle its characters has been lost making us wonder if that's the reason why the producers are ending the series also.
We do understand Sookies reaction due to Tara's death and also why Jessica wants to protect Andy's remaining daughter which is honorable apart from that so far we still do not understand why characters are taking certain steps. There is something soulless with this season and with this we are sure most audience are already bored with it.
Tara's death also did raise questions as to why she just died with no dignified death considering the fact that she was a character that has been important seems season 6. You see her fighting a sick Vampire with the virus one minute and the next her mum says she is dead and supposedly covered with her blood. I mean how did it happen? And why the sudden death? Or maybe she is not yet dead. Something else that put doubts is the fact that Pam her maker did not sense Tara's death considering the fact that she was her maker. Throughout the season we have seen that there is always some form of connection between the maker and the protégé.
Any way only time will tell on how this story ends. We hope that the last episode will make things clear on why thing unfolded like they did and give us an understanding on what really is going on.
