North Point Worship Releases Easter Anthems “Light Breaking Through” & "Sons And Daughters”
North Point Worship releases the brand new, Easter-themed "Light Breaking Through" along with the worship track, "Sons And Daughters," originally released and led by worship leader Brett Stanfill as a live video in 2015. The songs are available now at Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon Music and iTunes through the link, https://northpointworship.lnk.to/LBTSAD.
North Point Worship, part of North Point Ministries global network of more than 90 partner churches, will lead "Light Breaking Through" during this weekend's services available exclusively to watch online and on demand.
Written by worship leaders Lauren Lee, Brandon Coker and Jared Hamilton, Lee shares the story of how the song came together in the midst of her struggle with postpartum depression on North Point Worship's Facebook page. All of the fears, shame and doubt came pouring out of her and into the lyrics and melody of "Light Breaking Through."
"It doesn't surprise me or feel like an accident that this song was scheduled to be released during this dark time for so many of us," perceives Lee, referencing the uncertainty, loss of jobs and health concerns, etc., surrounding the global Covid-19 pandemic. "The good and beautiful news that we are celebrating this week is that 2,000 years ago, God became human and went through the most dark, lonely, difficult journey that a person can and, in victory, He stepped out of His grave passing a light onto this earth that would change history.
"Life is so hard, and it is full of pain, but my hope and my prayer are that through this song, through these words, you might feel the light of Jesus breaking through," continues Lee.
Even on the coldest night
There is still a warmth in sight
I can see the light breaking through
I can see the light breaking through
Even in the shadowed times
You don't ever run and hide
I can see the light breaking through
I can feel the light breaking through
("Light Breaking Through" chorus)
With all songs organically sown in the local church, and written, recorded and led by the North Point Worship team of songwriters and musicians, the band plans to release as many as 12 new songs internationally from North Point Music® and Centricity Music in 2020. Along with the aforementioned songs, "Nothing Else Matters (feat. Heath Balltzglier and Desi Raines)" and "Just Getting Started (feat: Lauren Lee)," were released Feb. 21. More new music is expected next month.

About North Point Worship:
Originally formed out of North Point Community Church's high school ministry, InsideOut, the worship band from North Point Ministries now serves over 42,000 people attending the multi-campus, metro Atlanta area North Point Community Church every week, along with a growing and diverse, multicultural group of worshippers reaching well-beyond its network of 90 local churches. North Point Worship's first recording, No One Higher, released in 2012 and hit the Top 20 on Billboard's Christian Albums chart. The album was followed by 2015's Hear that soared to No. 2 on the chart while further hitting the Billboard Top 200 for the first time. Signing with Centricity Music in 2017, the group released the EP Nothing Ordinary, which featured its song "Death Was Arrested" that is being heard across the globe and has been re-recorded by artists like Aaron Shust and Laura Story. Five more EPs have released to critical acclaim, including Nothing Ordinary, Pt. 1 (Live)and Pt. 2 (Live), the Christmas offering Ring The Bells (2018), North Point InsideOut (2018) and Abundantly More (2019).
