Conquering the idea of how to raise great girls in times such as these, a book of resource and comfort titled RAISING GREAT GIRLS, HELP FOR MOMS To Raise CONFIDENT, CAPABLE Daughters (perfection not required) will release on Aug. 21. From two decades of leadership in the music business to fostering a safe community for women known as The Grit & Grace Project, Darlene Brock draws from the reality of raising two daughters while working, traveling and juggling the impossible equilibrium of life.
With humor and insight, she unpacks the critical impact moms have on their daughters and the jobs we all juggle and how to tackle and master them: Coach, Creative Counselor, Time Manager, Academic Advocate, Professor of Gender Studies, Relationship Counselor, Sex Ed Teacher, Communications Specialist and more. Demand prompted Brock to add three chapters just for dads, covering the key roles of a father that every mom can hand over to her man: Master Gemologist, Stunt Coordinator and Bodyguard.
"When my hindsight takes a moment to list the riches of my life, my daughters take the lion's share," shares Brock. "Whether the girls who are in your life came through marriage, foster care, adoption, or by birth, a mother's hope and desire is to raise them to be great ones-girls who have the grit to get through life with perseverance, standing up for themselves, as well as others."
Evereve, marked as the fashion authority moms, will host a launch party for the book at their Tennessee location on Tues. Aug. 21. Evereve is a national fashion and styling company where women can find daily new arrivals from Sanctuary, Michael Stars, Hudson and more. From the beginning, Evereve had a deeper purpose: to love, serve and inspire moms to embrace their beauty and power. For more information or to RSVP, click here.
