Brian Courtney Wilson's "A Greater Work" Debuts at #4!
Singer and songwriter Brian Courtney Wilson's A Great Work enters Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart at No. 4 marking his fourth top five effort in as many visits.
His first album, Just Love, hit No. 2 in 2009. He followed with his lone No. 1 to date, So Proud, which launched atop the chart dated Feb. 25, 2012, with 12,000 sold, his best sales week so far. His third LP, Worth Fighting For, began at its No. 2 peak in 2015.
The A Great Work title-track re-enters Hot Gospel Songs at No. 18, a new best rank. It climbs 17-15 on Gospel Airplay, up 26 percent in plays.
One of the most highly regarded singers in Gospel music today, Wilson reached a pinnacle in 2016 with his hit song "Worth Fighting For," which touched audiences around the globe. His return this year with A GREAT WORK marks a continuation towards message-oriented and celebratory music. With a range of tempo, styles, and sounds, as well as purpose-driven lyrics, A GREAT WORK is a celebration of culture, faith, and community.
The anticipated release of the album follows the growing buzz around the title track and first single, "A Great Work." In just a few short weeks since its debut at gospel radio, the single has made an immediate impact, currently sitting in the top 30 and continuing to rise.
Unlike anything released previously from the celebrated artist, A GREAT WORK is arguably Wilson's most personal project to date. Joining forces with a collection of top writers and producers, including Aaron Lindsey, Eric Dawkins, Shaun Martin, Luther "Mano" Hanes, V. Michael McKay, Warryn Campbell and Marvin Winans, this album is Brian's literal 'great work.'
Along with today's pre-order opportunity Brian also launches #GoBeGreat on social media. A perfectly timed campaign, Brian invites fans to upload photos of special people in their lives that deserve to be celebrated.
