Francesca Battistelli Sings Lead Vocals on Two Songs on Bethel Music's New Album
GRAMMY®-nominated and Dove Award Winning "Artist of the Year" and "Female Vocalist of the Year" Francesca Battistelli will be a guest worship leader on the upcoming Bethel Music album, Starlight. The album is set to release later in April and available now for pre-order.
Over social media, the "Holy Spirit" singer has revealed that she sings lead vocals on two songs on the new record. They are "There's No Other Name" and "God I Look To You." She writes: "Being a part of the tour that made this album a reality was life-changing in many ways. And now listening back through the songs (over and over) is changing me again. His goodness is so evident on this album and in the lives of the women who wrote and sang these songs."
""Starlight" is the much anticipated follow up album to "You Make Me Brave," featuring 14 new songs from @amandalindseycook, @steffanydawn, @jennjohnson20, @kalleyheili, @kristenedimarco, @mphelser, and @hannahmcclure. These women are LEGIT human beings, and I'm honored to be in their company! (The songs I lead are "There is No Other Name" and "God I Look to You.") Pre-order it now and get 3 songs instantly. Releases worldwide 4.17.17!!!"
Bethel Music's first full-length live album, Starlight was recorded live on tour last fall during their Worship Nights. The team will be hitting the road again for another run of Worship Nights in April (find dates and tickets here). Starlight is available for pre-order on iTunes starting today, with three new songs, including the title track, immediately available for download.
Since her debut in 2008, Francesca Battistelli has earned a GRAMMY® nomination (Best Gospel Performance), six Dove Awards and 22 Dove Award nominations. Both her debut album, My Paper Heart (certified gold in 2012), and her 2011 sophomore release, Hundred More Years, took the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Christian Album chart. With over 995,000 in album sales to date and over 1.9 million single downloads, she is the best-selling new artist in the genre in the past decade.
Her music has also been featured on TriStar Picture's "Soul Surfer," Columbia Picture's "Julie and Julia," TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8," ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," NBC's "The Biggest Loser," Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," and several other television and movie outlets.
