Jennifer Hudson has released her new single "Walk It Out" featuring Timbaland. The Grammy and Academy Award winner's track is available for stream now, and will be up for sale digitally April 29th. It is the second release off Hudson's forthcoming third studio album, due out this summer on RCA Records.
In September 2013, she released "I Can't Describe (The Way I Feel)", featuring T.I. with production by Pharrell. No release date or album name has been officially announced yet.
"'Walk It Out' reflects the 'JHud' in me. Every bit of it is a reminder and a connection of where I come from," Hudson noted in a press release statement. "Who better to help me reconnect to that than Timbaland and his team? We co-wrote the song together so I'm singing my words. It's my take; my perspective. It's my music and I can't wait to share that with my fans."
Jennifer Hudson has been working with Pharrell Williams (is he on everyone's records these days?) and Timbaland on the upcoming album.
Hudson will be performing a set including her new single "Walk It Out" at the Staples Center in at Los Angeles as part of the BET Experience concert series, along with Mary J. Blige and Trey Songz.
Jennifer Hudson rose to national stardom performing on Season 3 of "American Idol" in 2004 finishing in 7th place. She released her solo self-titled debut album in 2008 (Arista Records) and her sophomore LP I Remember Me (Arista Records), in 2011. She also made her film debut in Dreamgirls (2006), which won her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, an NAACP Image Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
