Art Wheeler Releases New Song "Don't Cry for Me When I'm Gone" on Feb. 17
On February 17, singer and songwriter Art Wheeler will be releasing a brand new single " Don't Cry For Me When I'm Gone". The video will also debut on YouTube on the same day.
Speaking about the new song, Wheeler says, "While it's sort of a funeral song that sounds like something you would hear in a southern country church, I don't consider it a religious song."

Hailing from Jackson, Tennessee, Wheeler is a poet, storyteller and he has had transcribed all his gifts into his songs. He started playing and singing at an early age. The piano is his primary instrument but he also plays all instruments on my recordings.
Wheeler says, "While song writing has always been part of what I do, I began to take it more seriously around 1998 when my music became more personal. I started including my life experience in the writing of the songs, even when they were based on familiar stories from the Bible. Prior to that, most of the songs were just excuses to tell jokes. I still try to include humor in my music, even when it has the most serious messages.
My music is both secular and religious. I started releasing music in 2010. My latest Christian release is a single based on the creation story in Genesis 1 called Creation. My first CD release featured my Christian music and was called, Bible Stories. I followed that with an EP of secular songs called Arkansas. On my last CD, I returned with a new set of religious music called Six Minutes After Seven."
