Worship artist Crowder has just released his latest music video for his hit song "Come As You Are". The video is full of stunning visual effects and time-lapse shots, you can check out the video above. "Come As You Are" is off of his latest album Neon Steeple.
David Crowder's solo debut album as Crowder titled, Neon Steeple, released on May 27th (sixstepsrecords/Sparrow Records) and hit the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 charts. Among the new tracks was the record's lead single "I Am" as well as a duet with music icon Emmylou Harris on "My Sweet Lord." Check out the story behind "I Am" here.
"Neon Steeple is a collection of songs and sounds looking forward to the past and counting the present as sacred," remarks Crowder. "It is a longing for belonging, a search for home. It is a collection of choruses that believe that this is not all there is. It is the sound of the Appalachians and Ibiza. Folk music and EDM. The music of the People. Folktronica. Digital and Analog. The Ones and Zeros and the Handshake. The Banjo and the 808. Neon Steeple is both a critique and a hope."
Neon Steeple comes over two years since David Crowder*Band's final project, Give Us Rest (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys]). His current single "I Am" peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes® Christian & Gospel Top Songs chart upon its release. The song has enjoyed a steady climb up the charts, currently sitting at No. 5 on the National Christian Audience chart, reaching over 6.6 million people weekly.
Crowder was nominated for "Worship Song of the Year" at the 2014 K-Love Fan Awards in Nashville, an award that eventually went to Hillsong United for "Oceans."
He just wrapped up a U.S. tour in support of Neon Steeple which featured special guests All Sons & Daughters, Capital Kings and Ellie Holcomb on select dates. The tour's final date was on November 15th in Atlanta, GA.
