Nexus 6 Release Date and Price in USA: Better and Expensive
Over the last few months, a lot of new devices have been introduced in the market adding to users' dilemma of where they should actually invest. It's actually the perfect time for release because the holiday season is not far away and people will definitely want goodies.
Google has also come up with a new and improved smartphone to compete against the giants like Apple, Motorola, and Samsung. They've made an official announcement about Nexus 6 along with the launch of Nexus 9 and a new operating system Android 5.0 aka Lollipop.
Google is already accepting preorders through Play Store, Amazon, and a bunch of other platforms, but when will the device actually end up in store?
According to iDigital Times, Nexus 6 should reach stores by November 3 and T-Mobile is going to offer it by November 12. However, there is no news on whether Google has teamed up with other network operators yet.
Interestingly, before the release of Nexus 6 Google has never crossed $400 price tag and experts had guessed that this new smartphone will be launched in that price range only. However, the 32GB model for Nexus 6 costs around $649 while 64GB model will be available $699. This is the off contract unlocked device cost available on official websites of Google and Motorola.
Apparently the preorders are not anywhere near the Apple iPhone 6, but the numbers are expected to go up once people can get them from stores. Although Google has not explained anything about this sudden hike in price, it will not be easy to sell the smartphone.
While there is no doubt that it is one of the most advanced smartphones on market competing with Moto X Second Gen and Apple iPhone 6, Google still has to work on an effective contract deal. For now, no network carrier has introduced contract and installment prices Nexus 9.
Notably, when iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were launched last month, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile had deals on them straight away. However, according to GSM Arena the device will soon be available on leading cellular companies in the US.
