Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs. Galaxy Note Edge: Specs, Features and New Versions
The giant mobile provider already unveiled their two latest versions of Smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The announcement really shakes the creative minds of other mobile providers and the lovers of their Galaxy smartphone series. So, what can this two smartphones offer to you? How does it differs from each other? Check out our quick comparisons of their specs and features.
First, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge can bend. Yes, it can. The Galaxy Note Edge will be available in US sometime this fall according to Samsung. They already passed through the Federal Communications Commission so it means it will be on sale sooner or later. From the FCC-approved document, AT&T and T-Mobile will the first to get the curvy phone and this is the first time we're seeing the technology in a product coming to the United States.

Exterior of the New Smartphones
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is 8.5mm thick and it weighs 176 grams. On the other hand, Note Edge is 8.3mm thick and it weighs 174g. Some of the colors mentioned for the first phone includes black, white, pink and gold while the second handset only has two colors to choose from which are black and white. On the display category, the Note 4 has bigger screen of 5.7 inches while the Note Edge has 5.6 inches display.
They both have Super AMOLED displays but it's the Note Edge which has additional display on its right side thus offering a better resolution of 1600×2560 pixels and pixel density of 524 ppi. The Note 4 on the other hand, only has a screen resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and pixel density of 515ppi. The Note Edge is the only one that still shows notifications even if the screen is locked.
Internal Storage and Processor
Both smart phones are powered by a Quad core Krait 450 CPU which is Snapdragon 805, but the difference between the two is in the clock speed of their processors which is 2.7GHz for the Note 4 and 2.5GHz for the Note Edge. Also, both handsets are available in Octa Core Exynos 5433 version of processing units. They also both have 3GB of RAM and while the Note 4 is packed with 32GB of internal memory, the Note Edge have 16GB and 32GB variants. Their storage capacities can be expanded via micro SD card to up to 64GB.
Battery Life and Camera
The camera of the two smartphones is almost the same; they both have 15MP rear cameras presenting Optical Image Stabilization. Their 3.7MP secondary cameras can take pictures at wider angles of HD pictures even in low light conditions. Both phones have an hour to full their batteries but galaxy Note 4 has the bigger battery unit of 3220mAh compared to the other one with 3000mAh only.
