The Hobbit 3 The Battle of the Five Armies Plot, Trailer, Cast and Latest News: Fans are to Expect Epic Fights between Good and Evil along with Characters' Deaths on the Final Installment
The conclusion of J.R.R Tolkien's popular book, The Hobbit, is finally coming on The Hobbit 3: The Battle of the Five Armies. The Hobbit is known by fans as the prequel set 60 years before The Lord of the Rings, which was also directed by Peter Jackson.
The Hobbit 3 cast features a star studded crew with Martin Freeman playing the role of Bilbo Baggins, the beloved uncle of Elijah Wood's Frodo Baggins and Benedict Cumberbatch as the mighty, talking dragon
of The Lonely Mountain, Smaug.
If one saw The Hobbit 3 official trailer, fans can expect more from the epic fantasy conclusion such as men, orcs, good-looking elves and the dwarves themselves alongside well-choreographed battle scenes and detailed special effects and production.
But if you are really curious, Jackson shared in an interview at Comic-Con last July 28 a hint of what fans can expect from The Hobbit 3 plot. And yes, this is a spoiler! He said that, "It's always great when you can kill off some main characters. You have the chance to do something powerful and emotional. We do get to kill a few of them this time around." If you have read the book beforehand, you are well aware that Thorin Oakenshield, the leader of everyone's favorite band of dwarves plus hobbit and wizard, died at the end of the book but some have been petitioning Jackson that the dwarf prince be kept alive instead. So far, no confirmation on what changes the acclaimed director will do for this time around so it's best to keep a good eye for this one.
Aside from petitioned changes, familiar faces and characters will be making a comeback on The Hobbit 3 and one of those includes the Dark Lord Sauron. Rumors are flying about that he will be confronting the White Council on the third installment but further detail is needed to confirm this one as well.
The Hobbit 3 release date has been set on December 17, 2014.
