Taylor Swift's new album, 1989, will be out in October, music superstar says her 5th studio album is not a heartbreak record
Fans will be listening to brand new Taylor Swift in her upcoming studio album, 1989, which will be released by Big Machine Records in stores by October 27.
This time, the 24 year old Grammy-winning singer/songwriter is steering clear of the themes her music has been known for. The album's bouncy, upbeat tracks exude a different vibe.
In an interview with People magazine, she says, "Emotionally speaking, it's not a heartbreak record."
"My music is derived from what's happening in my personal life, and I haven't had my heart broken."
Taylor Swift's new album release took two years to complete; the result is her "first documented, official pop album." Swift considers 1989 - named after the year she was born - as her personal favorite.
Swift has also confirmed that the album's deluxe version will have three bonus tracks and three voice memos documenting how the songs were written and produced.
The carrier track of Taylor Swift's new album, Shake it Off, was launched in August and debuted number one in the US Billboard Hot 100 charts. It became Swift's second single in the US and the 22nd track to debut in the top position in Billboard history.
Other tracks in the album include All You Had to Do Was Stay, Bad Blood, I Know Places, I Wish You Would, Out of the Woods, Style, and Wildest Dreams.
