Those who are looking for new tablets or want to shift to another high-tech tablet can wait a bit, as Apple has announced the launch of one of the most anticipated releases -  iPad Mini 3. It is expected that the upcoming event at Apple's Town Hall on October 16 will unleash the new tech beauties where names like new iPad Air, new OS X Yosemite, Mac desktops will adorn the event with their first sight.

iPad sale volume has not been up to the mark for the past two quarters and has decreased from 19 million units to 17 million units. Apple had to bear the losses with 1.6 percent share decrease in the NY Stock market. So this time to attract the market Apple will probably launch iPad Mini 3 in gold color. The introduction of gold color may get the much needed popularity and sales volume.

The iPad Mini 3 will be 0.21-inches thick in dimension. So this will snatch the title of world's thinnest tablet title from Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.

Apple has not shared a lot about the new products but they might stick with the same display size that was in iPad Mini 2. iPad Mini 2 offers a display size of 7.9-inches with 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution and 324-ppi pixel density. The new iPad Mini 3 might revolve around the same display size and resolution.

The interesting part is that iPad mini 3 will be powered by Apple's new processor. The previous version had the A7 processor but this time the hardware department will be strengthen with latest A8 processor. The A8 chipset was first introduced in the latest Apple release the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. To provide better gaming experience than other available tablet in the market the GPU is slotted with additional M8 graphics processor.

The operating system will be as expected the latest OS iOS 8. TouchID finger print sensor remains to provide stable security system. The iPad Mini 3 price will probably start from $399.
