Antman: 12th Episode Of The MCU Or Marvel Cinematic Universe Under The Direction Of Peyton Reed
Antman, a Marvel character gets the big screen treatment. This is an upcoming American superhero film is based from the Marvel Comics characters of Scott Lang and Hank Pym. Hank Pym is a scientist who develops powers to reduce in size but enhance in strength. Marvel Studios is responsible for the movie production while Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures does the distribution. Antman is projected to be the 12th episode of the MCU or Marvel Cinematic Universe under the direction of Peyton Reed. Its release is scheduled on July 17, 2015.
In this film, Dr. Pyms Ant-Man technology is defended by Lang and he will plot a heist with global effects. The film development started in April 2006 with Edgar Wright's hiring as director and he also co-written this with Joe Cornish. This partnership had finished the three drafts of scripts and the shot test footage happened in July 2012. In October 2013, pre-production began and by December 2013 the casting started. Wright left the project in May 2014 due to creative differences. By June, Peyton Reed was hired to replace Wright and Adam McKay was hired to help with the script. The initial cinematography commenced in August 2014 in San Francisco and is set to continue in Pinewood Atlanta in Fayette County, Georgia.
The Casts
- Paul Rudd as Scott Lang (Ant-Man)
He is a petty criminal who obtains the invented substance that lets him shrink and grow in size.
- Michael Douglas as Dr.Hank Pym (Ant-Man)
He is a scientist who formulates the Ant-Man technology in 1963 and is Lang's mentor to take over as Ant-Man.
- Evangeline Lily ad Hope Van Dyne
She will play as Hank Pym's daughter.
- Corey StollasDarren Cross (Yellowjacket)
He is the former star student of Pym, who takes over Pym's company. He then gets hold of the Ant-Man technology to build the Yellowjacket suit.
In addition, John Slattery will regain his role as Howard Stark. Abby Ryder Fortson, David Dastmalchian, Gregg Turkington, and Judy Greer are also casted for unrevealed roles. Also starring in this film are Bobby Cannavale, T.I., Martin Donovan and Michael Peña.
