MacBook Air 2014 Retina Rumors, Price, Release Date And Specs: The Rumored MacBook Is Said To Combine Portability Of The 11-Inch Model And Power And Capacity Centric Features Of The 13-Inch Model
We have the latest for you on the rumors, price, release date and specs of the MacBook Air 2014 Retina. There are rumors going around the internet about a purported 12-inch MacBook air with Retina display. According to MacWorld, which is the new MacBook line up, the rumored MacBook is said to combine the portability of the 11-inch model and the power and the capacity centric features of the 13-inch model.
Although it has been alleged that the upcoming 12-inch model will be thinner and slimmer, the MacBook air is said to be power-packed and it might have the latest 14 nanometer Intel Broad well chip, the one that has a fan-less design. BGR's report cited a source who had the information that, "the display bezels are noticeably thinner, quite similar to the current MacBook Pro Retina lineup." It also said that the device will have more space and the speakers have been moved above the keyboard, and it's now visible. They also said that the new Retina MacBook will replace the MagSafe connector with a "new mysterious battery charging technology". This simply means that the MagSafe connector will be eradicated. The alternative charging method has however not been finalized or confirmed.
Meanwhile, Epoch Times wrote an article that cited a source that is 'familiar with Apple's plan". It was rumored that the rumored MacBook air Retina would come in the iPhone 6 colors, Gold, Silver and Space grey. It is also said that the upcoming MacBook will no longer use the standard USB port but will now use a new 'reversible USB type C' port. The website quoted USB-IF President and COO, Jeff Ravencraft's press release statement which read, "The USB type-C specification was developed to provide consumers with a robust connector for everything from mobile devices to PCs, and when combined with SuperSpeed USB power delivery, it truly enables a single cable solution for the market."
It is important to keep in mind that Apple has not commented about the rumored MacBook but rumor has it that t5he MacBook Air 2014 Retina may be released before the end of the year or early 2015. Stay with us for more news.
