Creation Northwest is Moving in 2014
Creation Festivals, the group behind the nation's largest Christian music festival, has announced a new home for Creation 2014 Northwest, which will be held July 30 to August 1, 2014, at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick, Washington.
The festival is expecting to average 10,000 to 15,000 people per day over four jam-packed days with some of the best musicians and family entertainment in the Christian industry.
Creation Festivals liked the Tri-Cities area for its mild climate, the availability of outdoor activities like boating and hiking, great parks along the river and scenic vistas along the historic Lewis and Clark Trail as these will all add to a great camping experience. Kennewick's central location between the four metropolitan cities of Portland, Seattle, Boise and Spokane make it convenient to travel to.
"We are excited that we will be hosting Creation Northwest in Benton County next summer," said Shon Small, chairman of the board of Benton County Commissioners in a press release. "I know that the festival-goers will enjoy what our community has to offer--our beautiful Columbia River, hiking our Badger Mountain, and our delicious local produce."
"It has always been our desire to hold Creation in a place where you can experience and explore God's creation," said Dr. Harry Thomas, Jr., co-founder of the festivals that have been called "the grandfather of all Christian music festivals" by Time Magazine. "We also want those who attend to hear great music and receive practical guidance for living. We are excited to be in Kennewick and to bring Creation Festivals to such a great area of Washington, and together we will give 'A Tribute to Our Creator!'"
