Aaron Carter's Declaration of Love for Hilary Duff
Aaron Carter's Declaration of Love for Hilary Duff
Aaron Carter declared her love for Hillary Duff by sending several romantic tweets about her. On March 24, Carter sent this tweet, "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what any of you think." Hillary Duff separated from her husband Mike Comrie this January.
Aaron Carter may have declared his love for her; however, Hillary clearly does not share the same feelings to Carter. In an interview about Carter's tweets of love about her, Hillary said, "I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that." She adds, "I don't know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I'm still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just...Yeah, don't each other...so...yeah."
Carter told in a Wenn interview his reaction to Hillary's rebuff, "If I'm too open about how I feel, then people wanna nag and pick and poke at me...I don't know Hillary either. She doesn't know me and I don't know her. I just need to shut up now about it. I think its time..."
"That wasn't meant for the media or anybody like that...I didn't think about it really. I wasn't really looking for [a response] either," he added. "I'm sure she got the message."
"I'm going to do everything in my power to fix those relationships in my life just like I want to fix the relationship I had with the love of my life. I'm not gonna give up on Hilary ...ever."
Aaron and Hillary were both 13 years old when they started dating. A love triangle ensued when Aaron later dated Lindsey Lohan.
Nevertheless, Aaron Carter said that "Hillary will always hold a very special place in my heart." He further elaborates, "She's got a kid and she's married and I'm not trying to be that dude. That's not my intention."
Aaron Carter is a singer who became famous in the late 1990s for his hip hop and pop music. His fan base back then was composed of pre-teens and teenagers. Hillary Duff is an actress as well as a singer. She played the lead role of Lizzie McGuire which cemented her status as teen idol.
