American Television Series Ray Donovan was recently renewed for a 2nd Season which premiered last June 13 of this year.
Ray Donovan is known as a crime drama television series created by Ann Biderman which airs on Showtime. It is being executive produced by the creator of the show alongside Mark Gordon and Bryan Zuriff.
First Season of the crime drama television series premiered on June 30, 2013. Pilot episode of the show was said to have broken the record for the number of viewers.
The Ray Donovan show stars Actor Liev Schreiber portraying the main character named Raymond Donovan also known as Ray. He is a fixer for a law firm called Goldman & Drexler, who originally came from South Boston.
He is the main focus of the show, where he experiences problems when his father named Mickey Donovan portrayed by Actor Jon Voight, is released from prison.
FBI Agents later try to bring down Roy and those who work with him.
Actress Paula Malcomson portrayed the role of Ray's wife named Abby Donovan. Actor Eddie Marson acted as Ray's older brother named Terrence Donovan who suffers from Parkinson's disease. He is known in the show as Terry.
Added casts includes actor Dash Mihok played the role of Ray's younger brother named Brendan Donovan also known as Bunchy. Pooch Hall is acting as Ray's younger half-brother named Daryll Donovan. He is a professional boxer and a limo driver. Steven Bauer portrayed Ray's right hand man known simply as Avi in the television show. He is a former soldier of the Israel Defense Forces and former agent of the Mossad. Plus the famous "Shane" of the late TV Series 'The L Word' star Katherine 'Kate' Moennig who in this TV series played the role of Ray Donovan's PR press agent who by the way is still in the role as a lesbian.
The crime drama television show was received with positive reviews and had earned several awards and nominations such as the Critics' Choice Television Award for Most Exciting New Series in 2013 and two Golden Globe Awards nominations for acting in 2013.
From the rumors and gossip of social media the 3rd season of the said series might possibly air in 2015. Though rumors have it, exact date of its release has not yet been defined. On the other hand, season 2 is on its way to its finale and will air this coming September 28, 2014!
