There is no doubt that "Maze Runner" was a fantastic spectacle for those who love fiction sprinkled with oodles of drama and mystery, especially if you haven't read the books. For almost half part of the first movie, there is little to know about what's going around and yet, still viewers were all intrigued into the plot with teenagers fighting for survival and a possible way out. It is one the reasons that audiences were so drawn to the plot, those who read the book and those who have not alike.
According to latest reports, this movie has performed tremendously at the box office. It currently has ticket sales of $40 million and still counting. 20th Century Fox is definitely happy with the performance and believes that the sequels for this trilogy will work in favor with such a successful initial hit.
The "Maze Runner" 2 Movie sequel is already underway and the release date is set on September, 18, 2015, exactly one year from now. This sequel will be called "The Maze Runner: Scorch Trials" with more people joining the cast as the story unfolds in the coming sequels. The book centers on a corporation running maze trials in studying the strength of human mind. The next installments of the book turned movie franchise will feature more of these mazes designed across the world by this corporation. The boys and girls who pass this test are sent for the ultimate mission where they have the responsibility of saving the diseased mankind. The next movies will even be more exciting than the first. Some moviegoers who enjoyed the first movie would surely pick up the second and third books to read and know what might happen next.
