"The Fosters" Season 2 spoilers suggest that second half of the premier may be launched in January 2015. The second season's first half began airing on June 16, 2014 and ended on Aug. 18, 2014.

ABC has planned to give a Christmas gift to all the fans with a Christmas special episode premiering in December. However, the news is that second half of Season 2 will arrive only in January 2014. No official date is announced by ABC so far. The good news is that Rosie O'Donnel will be coming back to the show.

"The Fosters" is an American family drama series featuring a story of the Foster family highlighted due to lesbian interracial couple and foster children. The series has earned GLAAD Vanguard Award and GLAAD Media Award for outstanding drama series.

The series has garnered critical appreciation for its modern potrayal of LGBT characters in the show. One group known as One Million Moms raised voice against the show stating "Obviously, ABC has lost their minds. They haven't let up so neither will we. ABC's Family Channel has several anti-family programs, and they are planning on adding to that growing list. ABC Family has approved a series pilot from Jennifer Lopez's production company, Nuyorican, about a lesbian couple and their diverse family."

For now, the official date of premiere of "The Fosters" Season 2 is still not confirmed but believed to be scheduled for release in January 2015 on ABC.
