Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7: NeNe Leakes is the New Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella Broadway Musical; Kandi Burruss Takes A Mother's Love On National Tour
Filming for The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 is already underway so The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 release date may be sometime in November. Most likely, the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 start date is November 2, the first Sunday in November, according to WetPaint.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 cast will have regulars Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, NeNe Leakes, Phaedra Parks, Porsha Stewart and Kenya Moore back on the show. They will be joined by Demetria McKinney, a singer and actress, who will come on board as a full-time Housewife and Claudia Jordan, a TV and radio personality, who will be a recurring guest star on the program, according to the Hollywood Gossip.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 may be the last for NeNe Leakes though. According to Classicalite, NeNe Leakes will be quitting the show after her contract with Bravo expires in 2015 at the end of Season 7. Incidentally, NeNe has just signed on to play the Wicked Stepmother role in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella Broadway musical according to Reality Tea. Earlier, NeNe of Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7, Sherri Shepherd of The View, and actress/singer Keke Palmer, have reportedly auditioned and competed with one another for the coveted Fairy Godmother role in the musical.
NeNe isn't the only Real Housewife of Atlanta who's making a name for herself outside the reality TV show. Grammy award-winning songwriter, singer, record producer and actress Kandi Burruss is now on a national tour for her musical, A Mother's Love, portions of which were previewed during last season's Real Housewives of Atlanta. She was handed by Mayor Teresa Tomlinson a key to the city of Columbus, Georgia, following their hugely successful performance there. Kandi will next be taking her A Mother's Love to Savannah, then Albany. Kandi and her husband Todd Tucker also want to get a baby this year before she turns 40 next May. Kandi reportedly said: "I want to get pregnant this year! Knock it out by 39! We're really looking forward to having kids together. I can't wait to [have] one big family! I just don't want to keep waiting. At first, we thought it would just happen, but it hasn't yet. So now we're clocking days and making an effort. We really want to start a family together."
Still another Real Housewife of Atlanta was in the limelight recently. Cynthia Bailey modeled a set from the latest collections from designers Kithe Brewster and Betsey Johnson during the New York Fashion Week.
The just concluded Season 6 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta was the highest rated season across all of Bravo's key demographics, including an average 2 million viewers in the advertiser-coveted Adults 18-49 demo. Real Housewives of Atlanta averaged 3.5 million viewers per episode last season according to The Wrap. No wonder that the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 salaries are high. According to OK Magazine, NeNe Leakes is the highest paid among all of the Bravo "Housewives" franchise. For last season, NeNe reportedly signed a $1 million plus bonuses deal with the network. She is followed by Teresa Giudice of the Real Housewives of New Jersey at $650,000. For the Real Housewives of Atlanta salaries, the next highest earner after NeNe is Kandi Burruss at $450,000, followed by Cynthia Bailey and Phaedra Parks at $300,000 each.
