The end of the iPod Classic: End of an era!
Apple is well known for launching new and innovative products that soon become the talk of the town and the competitors are left scrambling for new innovations. One of the best inventions from this company was the Classic iPod. Even though the other iPods namely - Nano, Shuffle and Touch are still popular and being sold in the market, the classic iPod with the scroll-wheel was a legendary item and its demise certainly needs to be mourned for.
When the classic iPod was launched then it soon became a rage all over the world, because of its versatility and the innovative scroll-wheel. The humungous capacity of the iPod also worked in its favor and within a short span of time, it was in the pockets of millions of music lovers. The aggressive ad-campaign for iPod was also hard to miss and it aggravated the popularity of the iPod by leaps and bounds.
The music industry got a shot in their arm with Sony's Walkman, whose portability was its USP. But the revolutionary product of iPod with hundreds and thousands of songs in its in-built memory changed the music industry totally. The success of the iPod also propelled Apple to the fore-front and it soon became one of the world's biggest tech companies.
The classic iPod was launched almost 13 years ago and today it has been quietly discontinued by Apple, who have just launched iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Their Apple Watch is the show-stealer at the moment and it has started a revolutionary trend in smart-watches, much like the classic iPod.
