Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-A5000: The elusive smartphone set to touch base: Release Date: 12th September.
The latest version of the much leaked out Samsung Galaxy Alpha was previously seen with GFXBench with the model number SM-A5000. A significant aspect of this new device is that it is powered by a 64bit processor. According to a report by GSM Arena, the new device has a display of 4.7 inches and a resolution of 720p. It is also combined with a 2 GB RAM and a built-in storage capacity of 8 GB.
Processor and Graphics
Leaked photos have revealed that the device has Adreno 306 graphics, which is a sure indicator that the SoC on the new smartphone is QUALCOMM Snapdragon 410, the first 64bit processor. The Quad Core processor was specially developed for average handsets, but the Galaxy Alpha SM-A5000 will be positioned as a mid-range smartphone. The new smartphone is also compatible with Mali-T628MP6 graphics
Camera and Connectivity
Now, Snapdragon 410 features on Cortex-A53 and is supposed to provide up to 1.4 GHz, but the leaked images show the Alpha SM-A5000 to have only a speed of only 1.2 GHz. The images also disclose that the new Galaxy Alpha sports a primary camera of 12 MP and a 4.7 MP Selfie shooter, and will have the capability of full HD video recording. Other camera features are flash JED, auto focus and touch focus.
As for connectivity, the new Samsung Galaxy Alpha will be provided with Bluetooth Wi-Fi. It will be GPS enabled. EE has confirmed that the device is coming to it's network with range of 4G plans. The device will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will also have a compass and gyroscope.

Samsung has fully embraced metal and is all set to deliver a handset with a premium finish deserving of all the features and technology that has been packed into it. It looks very classy compared to Samsung phones past. The new smartphone will be available in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold or Sleek Silver on the red network.
