We have the latest for you on the release date, bundle, gameplay and trailer of Super Smash Bros 3DS. Nintendo is always giving details about the Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS ahead of the staggered release for both versions. The 3DS version is set to be released on 3rd October while the Wii U version does not yet have a release date, but it might be released sometime during the holiday season.
As expected, several new characters were revealed at the E3, and we actually had the chance to see the game in action in a live tournament. The series director, Masahiro Sakurai continues to give us smaller details through the official site in the form of a daily picture update after giving all the major announcements. The latest update takes a look at the 3DS Smash Run Mode, which we have seen several times in the past. Sakurai is highlighting particular segments of the mode, and posted three different images.

A description on one of the pictures read, "Here's one of the final battles in Smash Run, called "Run!" As you'd expect, it involves you dashing toward the finishing line. In general, the fighters who are fast by default, equipped with speed-boosting equipment, and powered-up with speed-boosting equipment and powered up with speed boosts over the course of that Smash Run will have the advantage. However, speed isn't the only factor that will determine who will be victorious..."
Meanwhile, the red and blue Super Smash Bros. Nintendo 3DS XL may be coming soon to North America on 19th September for $199.96. This is according to a Walmart flyer from the Midwest/ southern regions. The hardware in the advertisement sports the game's logo and a decal of several fighters featured in the brawler, spotted by BlueRay forum user. It is however not clear whether the game is included in the hardware. A red and black Super Smash Bros-themed 3DS XL is scheduled for release on 3rd October with a pre-downloaded copy of Super Smash Bros for 3DS.
According to IGN.com, they have tried to reach Nintendo for confirmation about the red and black Super Smash bros 3DS XL with no success yet. Stay with us for more information on this.
