Jurassic World Movie Release Date, News, Cast, Rumors, and Updates: Actor Irrfan Khan Discusses Involvement With the Film
Jurassic World is an upcoming science fiction adventure film directed by Colin Trevorrow and is the fourth installment to the Jurassic Park franchise.
On August 5, director Trevorrow announced on twitter that production of the film has wrapped and will move forward to post-production.
Actor Irrfan Khan recently returned home to India after filming had finished. In an interview with First Post, Khan gave a few details on what he experienced during filming and also discussed his involvement in the film as he portrayed the owner of Jurassic World, Dr. Rajesh Masrani. "It was so much fun," Khan said. "Though it is a huge epic project, everyone on the crew was so relaxed. There was no attempt to appear self-important. Throughout the shooting there was a sense of playfulness in the atmosphere. I felt completely at home and we wrapped up the film in record time."
Khan is known for his minor roles in Slumdog Millionaire and in The Amazing Spider-Man, but has also given notable performances in Life of Pi and in The Namesake. Talking about his screen time in Jurassic World he had this to say, "I am very happy with what we've shot. How the role finally shapes up depends on so many things. I appeared for much less screen-time than I had shot for in Slumdog Millionaire and Spider-Man. But that was for the betterment of the final product. No one in the West is waiting to upstage me or sabotage my career."
The film also stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, and BD Wong.
The fourth film has been in development hell since the release of Jurassic Park 3 back in 2001. Then, out of nowhere, it was given a release date of June 13, 2014. That eventually fell through when creative differences between the studio and the writers were not resolved. However, production of the film continued and eventually was given a release date of June 12, 2015.
