Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Recap And Finale: Fans Forced To Say A Permanent Bye To A Major Character Who They Might Never See Again.
We have the latest for you on the recap and finale of Pretty Little Liars Season 5. The final season of "Pretty Little Liars" aired on ABC on Tuesday, and the fans were shocked to see the death of a major character. The fans were forced to say a permanent bye to the major character who they might never see again.
The liars feared that their former friend would turn them into the police after she, Alison, had gone rogue. This left the liars only one option which was to turn to Mona for help. The liars and Caleb even hacked into the police database to see what Alison had told them. Although Alison did not sell anyone out, the police actually asked the liars a lot of questions and they realized that they had a big problem. An affidavit that was sent out by Detective Holbrook revealed that Alison was innocent in the murder of Bethany Young but Spencer was not.
In order to clear Spencer's name with the police, the group planned to break into Radley and get Bethany Young's files. Mona and Spencer broke into the institution while they had disguised themselves as nurses while Hanna and Caleb eased their access through the security using the computer software. As part of the plan, Aria worked from the inside distracting a nurse during her volunteer shift. Emily on the other hand lured Alison to her house in order to keep her in clear sight. Unfortunately, their plan fell apart. Spencer and Mona had succeeded in taking Bethany's file and they realized that Mrs. DiLaurentis had been having an affair with Bethany's father and that Bethany knew Alison. Then, Detective Holbrook showed up at Radley to question Aria about Spencer, but he did not catch the girls. Alison, however, realized that she was set up and she left Emily's house in a huff.
The following day was Thanksgiving Day, and Paige revealed to the girls that she had followed Alison, Cindy and Mindy. They went to an abandoned car. The girls quickly realized that Alison was building an army of her own. Mona discovered that Alison knew about the affair and had lured Bethany to Rosewood as she was jealous and wanted her dead. She called Aria but what she did not know is that she was being watched. A blonde girl broke into Mona's house and murdered her. Walking inside, the group realized that Mona's house was completely destroyed. The police later revealed that no one was found at the scene. Holbrook told reporters that investigations were on-going but they had ruled that it was a homicide case. He confirmed that Mona Vanderwaal was murdered.
