The release date of Kingdom Hearts 2 for Playstation 2 happened 9 years ago and since then, the fans have been waiting for a sequel. The good news is that a release date for the game has already been confirmed. The 3^rd installment of the game will be due in December this year. Square Enix said that the Kingdom Hearts 3 is on the way.

Tai Yasue, the game' co-director, said that it had taken much time as  they were developing both Kingdom Hearts 2.5 and Kingdom Hearts 3 at the same time. During an interview, Yasue told GameInformer, "We were actually developing Kingdom Hearts 3 and 2.5 at the same time, and it's very difficult. There was a point where we wanted to switch our resources to Kingdom Hearts 3 and get moving faster."

During an Electronic Entertainment expo held earlier, the fans were left disappointed as they had expected that the trailer of the new game would be shown, but it was not. Yasue explained that they needed to get the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 out first so that the fans would get a better understanding of the story before the Kingdom Hearts 3 would come out. He further explained that making of teasers and trailers required a lot of work and they needed time to get the development of Kingdom Hearts 2.5 and 3 going.

The story of the Kingdom Hearts game has been centralized on the quest of Sora to locate his friends. The character then interacts with other characters from 'Final Fantasy' and the'World ends with you.' the video game has been highly admired and has gained a lot of popularity among fans due to the settings of the game which are user friendly. In the game, users are transported in a role-playing platform. The Kingdom of Hearts game series will be developed by Square Enix and Interactive studios. There are rumors that there are new worlds which will be added to the game such as the Star wars and the Frozen world which comes with a wave of excitement not only to the fans but those who have had about the game and want to try it out.
