Benny DiChiara and Empowered to Perform at the Ichthus Music Festival
Singer/songwriter/survivor Benny DiChiara and his chart-topping band, Empowered, are set to take their popular brand of indie Christian Rock to the Main Stage at the Ichthus Music Festival this Saturday, September 28, at 2:50 p.m. ET.
DiChiara and Empowered will perform music from Yahweh Nissi, their latest EP from Slingshot Records, at the iconic 54-year-old Christian music festival, held at Servant Heart Farm (also known as Ichthus Farm) in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will will share the stage with Unspoken, JJ Weeks, and more. For tickets or more information about the Ichthus Music Festival, click here.
Following their performance at Ichthus, DiChiara and Empowered will perform at the Bittersweet Fall Festival in Mt Vernon, Kentucky, on Saturday, October 5, 2024. "We are grateful for what God is doing," says DiChiara. "We're excited to have back-to-back Christian music festival dates on September 28th at the iconic Ichthus Music Festival in Wilmore, Kentucky, and the Bittersweet Fall Festival on October 5th in Mount Vernon, Kentucky. We're so blessed to be able to open for JJ Weeks, Unspoken, We Are Vessel, and 7eventh Time Down. Great bands for the Kingdom!"
In addition to performing at the festivals, DiChiara, Empowered's lead singer and songwriter, will share his powerful testimony of surviving a traumatic brain injury that nearly took his life and his capacity to create music. Instead, he astonished doctors with a rapid and nearly full recovery, and the man who was once at the edge of life is now full of purpose and divine presence.
"Benny has overcome incredible odds after his traumatic brain injury, but I honestly think it increased his creative genius. His music is better than ever!" says Laura Harris Smith, best-selling author and speaker, and host of the Total Living Network's and the Christian Television Network's popular talk show, theTHREE.
