Jess Ford To Release Debut Christian Single, "My Strength is in the Lord"
Debut Christian music single,"My Strength Is In The Lord," released by music industry veteran Jess Ford. The new project was self-penned by Ford with production, engineering, mixing, and all instruments played by Michael Puwal at Univox 1 Inc. in Pensacola, FL. The new music is available for pre-save HERE.
"My Strength Is In The Lord" is for those who are broken and stuck. This song is about realizing that Jesus can change people and heal broken parts. Jess didn't know he could, and he did, and it's so good. Now, she wants to shout about it and praise God for what he has done for her. She is a living miracle whose life is so blessed now that she cannot hide it.
In support of the new music, Jess has also released an official video produced in Pensacola, FL by Nathaniel Guin to accompany her new song. It is scheduled to premiere her official artist YouTube Channel on September 20 at 5:30 PM Pacific HERE.
"God has instructed me to give him my voice. He said, "I have more for you, but you must leave the secular world." I heard him loud and clear, so that's what I'm doing. Ever since I made the decision to leave my band, KARMACODA, and step forward into Christian music, I've been writing like crazy and the peace in my heart has been incredible. For years I have had this ache in my stomach, I've been ignoring the holy spirit and I got to a place where I couldn't ignore it anymore.
"At that moment God showed up and told me what I am instructed to do. So I am doing it. Since then I've felt complete joy and peace. I'm surrendering it all. Do with it what you will Jesus. If this is all it ever is, 'being in alignment with God' and doing what he has instructed me to do, then I have complete peace with it, it's enough.
"I'm excited to finally be at this point in my singing and songwriting, where I can share what's truly in my heart. It's incredible. 'My Strength Is In The Lord' is about suffering in darkness and how God can come and meet you there, scoop you up, and bring you out of it, he can fix all your broken pieces. I have failed so many times and ignored my calling, but God never gave up on me. Winning all those awards with KARMACODA was the desire of my flesh, so I stayed. I wrote these biblical words and am living by this "Though my flesh and my heart may fail, my strength is in the Lord". None of those awards can make me feel the joy that God does," shared Jess Ford.
"Jessica's voice is amazing. "My Strength Is In The Lord" is an inspiring song, beautifully sang." shared producer Michael Puwal.
"You're spirit lead from the darkness
Held down in bondage I could barely see your light
All of my tears, now they mean nothin'
They're all for you, I'll be a living sacrifice
I'll walk through the fire
I'll stand in the storm
I'll praise your holy name
Like a lion I will roar
I'll shout your name
And cease no more
I'll offer you my pain
And I'll praise you in this storm
Though my flesh and my heart may fail
My strength is in the Lord
Oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh,
Oh, oh, oh,
Completely shattered, I was hopeless
You cracked my weakness like a broken pot of clay
You healed and gathered all my pieces
Your grace extends beyond the pain of yesterday ..."
