IPad Mini 3 Release Date: Specs and Features Leaked for Possible 2014 October Release

 The second installment of the iPad Mini was released in October 2013; therefore, knowing the propensity of these tech giants in releasing their gadgets within a timely or rather scheduled fashion, it would seem to be appropriate to expect the iPad mini within the next 3 months. At the same time, the release of the iOS 7.1.1 is a good time not only for Apple to debut for the new gadget models but also to update the available models of iPhone 4 and 5s. As such, the iPad mini 3 is supposedly modeled after the iPad Air and is going to be a much more convenient device as compared to its predecessor.

Specs: it is thought that the new iPad mini 3 will come available with Touch ID finger print sensor which is the same that is found on the iPhone 5s. Similarly, it is thought that the iPad mini 3 will feature a new as well as a more powerful A8 processor. As for the display, it is likely that the device will come with the same 7.9 inch display that featured in the predecessor, as well as a 2048x1536 resolution. As for storage, the iPad mini 2 comes available with 16, 64, and 128 GB storage options, and this will carry through to the iPad mini 3.

Design: there are rumors that the iPad mini 3 will be called the iPad mini Air, which continues in the trend for the iPad Air as well as the MacBook Air. The reason for this is because the mini 3 will be much thinner as compared to the predecessor. On the other hand, that would make the iPad mini 3 about 5.25 mm thick which is a bit unrealistic by today's standards.

Price: the pricing of the iPad mini 3 is something complicated especially because the last version of the iPad mini was 50 pounds more than the original. The mini 2 was £319 compared to £269 for the iPad mini but that was due to a retina quality screen upgrade. That would mean the iPad mini 3 will have to include something really significant to make it worth a price increase.
