CRISTA Ministries Appoints Kelli Tolf as New President of World Concern
CRISTA CEO Jacinta Tegman has announced the appointment of Kelli Tolf to serve in the role of President of World Concern, effective Aug. 1. One of CRISTA's five ministries, World Concern is a Christian global relief and development organization serving individuals and communities facing extreme need in a dozen countries across three continents.
Tolf will be transitioning into the World Concern President role after having served most recently at CRISTA as vice president of donor relations. An accomplished and highly respected leader with 25 years of experience in fundraising, marketing and business development, Tolf arrived at CRISTA in 2019 after an esteemed tenure in development at Washington State University. As World Concern's President, she will lead the ministry in its sustained effort to extend lifesaving help and opportunity to people facing the most profound human challenges of extreme poverty. World Concern's areas of expertise range from disaster response and child protection to providing clean water, education, food security and other resources to those "at the end of the road" in countries throughout Africa and Asia.
Throughout her time at CRISTA, Tolf has been lauded as a collaborative leader with a knack for elevating fundraising growth and engagement across the organization. In her new role leading World Concern, Tolf will assume the public face of the ministry as it engages with its thousands of devoted donors and integrates with other ministries and departments within CRISTA.
Stated CRISTA CEO Jacinta Tegman: "It is with great excitement and gratitude to God that we welcome Kelli Tolf into the role of President of CRISTA's World Concern ministry. World Concern represents an extreme calling for CRISTA to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to a broken world. Kelli is a proven, highly capable leader with incredible gifts, a love for Jesus and a passion to serve. Her vision and leadership will be a wonderful blessing to the critical service provided to the world through this ministry."
Stated new World Concern President Kelli Tolf: "I could not feel more honored and blessed to have an opportunity to serve as President of CRISTA's World Concern ministry. During my time at CRISTA, I have been captivated at the reality of how significant the needs are for so many throughout the world. We have a unique opportunity to see God transform the lives of these individuals as World Concern strives to meet their physical needs. We are called and committed to serve and share God's light with those who have been forgotten in the corners of the world. Prayerfully, World Concern can and will go to the hard places to equip those we serve so that they may, in turn, help others."
In addition to World Concern, the Seattle-based nonprofit CRISTA also includes King's Schools, CRISTA Camps, CRISTA Media and CRISTA Senior Living. 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of CRISTA's dedicated service to individuals and communities throughout the world. The shared mission of CRISTA's ministries is to fearlessly declare the Gospel with biblical truth and love, leading generations to follow Jesus.
