It has been said that the guardians in Halo 5 will include Agent Locke, the star of Ridley Scotts Halo, Nightfall, as character of the game. It is also speculated that the game will have a different Xbox One engine from Master Chief Collection. In a recent interview, the 343 Industries Franchise director, Frank O'Connor said, "Not technically. It's a blend of legacy and some proprietary code. H5 is on a different schedule and couldn't be branched for this.

The Halo 5 guardians was set to be released later in 2014, but may have been delayed and we'll have to wait until the last quarter of 2015 for the release.
