We Are Messengers Teams Up with KB for a New Version of "Wholehearted"
We Are Messengers drops a fresh, hard-hitting version of "Wholehearted," featuring hip-hop act KB. The updated edition of "Wholehearted" arrives on the heels of the single's official launch at Christian radio, where it became the No. 2 most-added song on the Mediabase AC Monitored chart upon impact.
We Are Messengers refreshes the title-cut of their third LP with this collaborative iteration of "Wholehearted (feat. KB)," which includes an all-new verse written and recorded by the award-winning hip-hop artist. The driving pop anthem boasts of a God who extends forgiveness and grace freely and loves with His whole heart. "Wholehearted" follows triumphant singles "God You Are" and the group's first No. 1 hit, "Come What May."
The reimagined track comes after news of the band's career RIAA Gold certification for "Maybe It's Ok" from their sophomore album, Power. Additionally, last month, We Are Messengers surprised fans with Hills of Tyrone, a set of extremely personal selections all penned by Irish front man Darren Mulligan and a small, select group of contributors.
Hills of Tyrone is especially close to the lead singer's heart. The intimate and sparsely produced project brings the warmth of his native Ireland to life with seven original songs honoring family, legacy and a place he will always belong. With introspective lyrics that find Mulligan reflecting on his roots, the EP boasts tender love songs dedicated to his wife, wisdom for his young children and stories about his lineage woven into a musical tapestry that transports listeners to the Emerald Isle. Since the EP's release, We Are Messengers has been unveiling accompanying music videos for each selection, giving fans a glimpse into Mulligan's real-life Irish haven.
The band recently set out on the spring leg of Casting Crowns' "The Healer Tour" on which We Are Messengers will bring songs spanning their entire discography to cities across the country throughout the 33-market trek.
