Gordon Mote Records New Album for 2023 As Two New Christmas Singles Are Being Released
Producer, instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter Gordon Mote is currently in the studio recording a new CD to be released by New Haven Records in late second quarter 2023. Produced by Wayne Haun, Mote is very excited about this new project and cannot wait for the release. The selection of songs and musical performances (vocal and instrumental are simply spectacular.
In addition to touring Gordon Mote dates, playing with Alabama on their hugely successful 50th Anniversary tour, producing several projects for others, and recording a new Gordon Mote project, Gordon has found time to squeeze in the recording of two Christmas songs that are available now on all streaming platforms now.
The first festive single is "O Little Town of Bethlehem." "Gordon is a very special recording artist. He has always delighted audiences with his passionate musical stylings," states New Haven Records President Ken Harding. "We have no doubt listeners will gain a new love for this beloved standard when they hear Gordon's moving rendition."
"I absolutely love Christmas," Mote shares, "and one of my favorite Christmas songs is O Little Town of Bethlehem. In these uncertain and troublesome times, thanks to the Christ Child, we know the hopes and fears of all the years are met in Thee tonight. That's a message the world needs to hear now more than ever."
The second single is "I'll Be Home for Christmas." Throughout the past three decades, the 21-time Academy of Country Music nominee, established a place at the forefront of the Christian and country music genres as one of the country's most sought-after studio musicians and producers, as well as an accomplished solo recording artist.
Recorded in 1943, by the legendary Bing Crosby, I'll Be Home for Christmas was originally written to honor soldiers overseas who longed to be home at Christmas time. Over the past 70 years, the song has become a Christmas standard. "I love the story behind, 'I'll Be Home for Christmas,'" Mote states. "Everyone longs to be in the place they call home during the Christmas season, and I hope everyone that hears my version will enjoy it and have a wonderful Christmas season wherever they call home."
"It seems like almost everyone has recorded this Christmas favorite," New Haven Records President Ken Harding shares. "Elvis Presley, Johnny Mathis, Kelly Clarkson, Josh Groban, Pentatonix, Michael Buble, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, and the list goes on and on, but I must admit that Gordon's rendition is pretty special. I believe his version will be loved and played for years to come."
